Learn about growing food with others in your community!

Las Milpitas de Cottonwood is a community farm that provides educational opportunities, capacity building, and a place for area residents to grow their own food. It also serves as a working demonstration site in desert food production, composting, ecological restoration, and permaculture for the greater Tucson community. Las Milpitas de Cottonwood is located at 2405 S Cottonwood Ln, on the west bank of the Santa Cruz River, just south of Silverlake Rd.

It is a collaboration with Pima County, City High School, and many other community organizations. Like us on Facebook for the latest photos and updates!

The farm is dependent on many dedicated volunteers to weed, mulch and spread compost. It can be hard, but is excellent exercise and social interaction. There are multiple volunteer jobs available.
